In order to join Phoenix Squadron you must
first be a member of the 501st
Legion. Once you have been accepted by the main legion, and
a profile (with or without pictures) is posted on the main site
you may contact us with your Bounty Hunter number designation (TKID).
After we have verified your allegiance to the 501st and your postion
as a bounty hunter (costume!), we will activate your post with Phoenix
Squadron.
Please complete the following form in order to register
with Phoenix Squadron.
As a member of Phoenix Squadron you will be responsible for maintaining
your own user profile and photos. Unlike the main 501st site you
will be provided with your own unique login and password, where
you will be able to upload/delete pictures, edit your personal and
contact information, and add new costume listings. The system is
easy to use and there is, of course, a help section, if you aren't
sure.
The following information is adapted from the registration text
from the main 501st
Legion website.

Legion - Apply for Member Registration
WHAT IS THE 501st LEGION?
The 501st Legion of Imperial Stormtroopers (aka the Legion aka 501st)
is a Star Wars fan club celebrating the movies using costumes and
props, in particular those of the stormtrooper characters and their
various incarnations. The Legion is an international, not-for-profit
club formed for the express purpose of bringing together costume
enthusiasts and giving them a collective identity within which to
operate. The Legion's aims are to celebrate the Star Wars movies
through the wearing of costumes, to promote the quality and improvement
of costumes and props, and most importantly to contribute to the
local community through charity and volunteer work. We the members
of the 501st hold no rights to these characters and recognize it
is a privilege to wear these costumes. We also acknowledge that
while in costume we represent these movies and as such accept the
responsibility to behave professionally and civilly while in public.
If you own a film quality imperial costume and would like to enlist,
just follow the steps below and we will assist you in becoming part
of the premiere Star Wars costuming club in the world. There are
no fees or participation requirements.
STEP ONE : Do you qualify for membership?
- Are you at least 18 years old?
- Do you own a professional quality Star Wars costume ? Costume
can be Imperial, Bounty Hunters, Denizens of the Empire or other
"bad guy" costume. Rebel costumers should join the Rebel
Legion, our sister organization.
STEP TWO: Fill out the 501st Legion Application
Form to apply for membership.
Please apply in English, we are not equipped to interpret foreign
language applications. If you require aid in translating your answers
please contact your local garrison.
Please select your ID number. The ID number can be anything from
0000-9999 but prefix will depend on your costume (for Phoenix Squadron,
the prefix will be BH). Check the database or our full roster listing
of current IDs in use for available numbers before selecting your
top 5 choices. With the exception of the information you deem 'public',
which will be posted on your "member" page, all information
submitted will be kept confidential and will be used only for 501st
Legion registration purposes.
STEP THREE : Prepare your imperial identification
pictures
Upon submission of your application, the 501st Legion Membership
Team will be made aware of your request to join. A membership officer,
most likely your Garrison Membership Liaison(GML), will contact
you to verify your qualifications and will most likely ask for pictures
of you in your imperial gear for validation.
We will need two pictures of you, ALONE, with a PLAIN BACKGROUND,
one with your helmet on and one with your helmet off. This picture
will not only serve as your verification for the membership officer,
but will be edited and placed within an imperial frame, for eventual
posting to the Legion Website. (Phoenix Squadron members will be
required to photoshop their own photos. We've made this as easy
as possible but you can request aide if you really suck at it).
STEP FOUR : Wait for communication from the
501st LMO, 0895, Michael Washko
After communication has terminated between yourself and your
GML, that GML will advise the Legion Membership Officer (LMO) of
their findings.
If your application is approved, you will receive an email confirmation
to that effect, at which time you will get your TKID assignment
and be approved (only done by the LMO) and your record is marked
is 'ACTIVE' in the Empires database, which auto-generates a webpage
on our site under the approprate costumes that have been validated
(please refer to the 501st Legion Members Area for reference).
If you are not validated for membership, your record will be deleted
from our database and your enlistment information will be sent to
the Rebel Command for enlistment in a lesser organization (just
kidding -- your record does get deleted from our database but we
would never give the Rebels ANY information! :)
PLEASE NOTE: This process should take only a week BUT it can take
up to three weeks!
STEP FIVE : Start 'TROOPING'!
Your GML will be able to let you know how to find out about local
events so you can get out there and make the Empire proud!
